Computerized Visual Field Testing

Our office utilizes the latest in computerized visual field testing. A visual field tests the central and peripheral vision (side vision) to ensure that the visual pathway is healthy. This pathway begins at the eye and travels through the brain until it ends at the vision center. There can be various problems in your peripheral vision that will indicate abnormalities in this pathway. These problems include diseases like glaucoma, brain tumors and strokes. Visual field testing is an important component of an eye examination. That is why our practice incorporates computerized visual field testing in annual eye health examinations.
